Lance Louskieter is a Project Assistant on the Global Citizenship Programme. He leads both the research stream on the Programme, and serves as the Content Developer on the pilot short-course Active Citizenry Through Dialogue and Deliberation in collaboration with Sol Plaatjie University (SPU) in Kimberley. He is passionate about deepening social justice in scholarship and teaching, and believes that people-centeredness in critical theory and pedagogy can contribute to transformation and decolonial praxis in higher education. In addition to his work with the GC Programme, Lance also works in the African Gender Institute (AGI), the Department of Psychology, and the School of Public Health and Family Medicine here at UCT. He holds a Masters in Public Health, an BA (Honours) in Psychology, and a BA in Drama, Film Studies, and Psychology. Lance loves deeply, passionately, and unashamedly.
